It's your car, go where you want!

Don't be steered into another disaster from an insurance company telling you where to go for auto body repair. Insurance companies like to make it seem you only have a few options of where to repair your car. This is false! Legally, you have the right to have our vehicle repaired at the facility of your choice! The places the insurance companies recommend have agreed to repair the vehicle to how the insurance company wants using the parts the insurance company wants, which may not be in your best interest. Remember, insurance companies are trying to save money and minimize their cost. You never pay more than your deductible so quality and service should be the deciding factor in where you go.

We at Satori's Auto Body and Collision repair believe that you are our customers, not the insurance company, and our loyalty is to you. We don't cut any corners and we make sure that all the work we do exceeds professional standards.

Here are a couple things we have been told from our customers that the insurance companies tell them when they want to come to us instead of a direct repair shop:

1. “They are not one of our network shops nor on our list, therefore, we can't guarantee the repairs.”
As for guarantees and customer satisfaction, it is the shop’s responsibility, not the insurance company’s. If you complain to the insurance company after a repair, they will refer you to the shop regardless if they are on their list or not. We feel we are in a better position to guarantee satisfaction since we are not obliged to perform work the insurance request which are not to our quality standards. After all, you want it fixed right the first time, so you don’t need to worry about complaining afterwards. We work for you, not the insurance company.

2. “If you use them, we can't get an adjuster out for several days. If you take it to our network shop, we will have someone start on it right away.”
While in some cases it is true, we need an adjuster’s OK before the insurance company will pay for repairs, most insurance companies approve the estimate we write without an adjuster’s visit. If an appraiser is required, most companies are required to appraise a vehicle within 72hrs. We pride ourselves on getting an adjuster here and an appraisal settled quickly. It is part of our customer satisfaction experience.

3. “If you use that shop you will have to pay for a car rental out of pocket.”
This is not true. Most insurance companies have direct billing agreements with rental agencies. Additionally, we are an authorized Hertz rental location and have Hertz rental vehicles on hand. We take care of everything here before you leave. A tip we tell our body shop customers is that if your vehicle is completed on a certain date, try to pick it up on that same day. Some insurance companies only cover rental charges for the time your vehicle is being repaired. Once it is fixed, your policy may not pay for additional days.

4. “If you go to Satori's, you will have to get multiple estimates.”
This is another ploy an insurance company uses to steer you away from going where you want. They are trying to make you feel it will be a hassle to go to somewhere other than a body shop they have an agreement with. The truth is you can come ONLY to US and we will get an estimate approved for repair. If your vehicle is not drivable, we will have your vehicle towed here and apply the charges to your insurance company.
