- Inflate your tires to the correct pressure monthly. The correct pressure is located on a sticker usually on the driver's door jam.

- Use the correct size and type of tires for your vehicle. Oversized or tires with high rolling restance rob fuel economy.
- Make sure the wheel alignment is correct. Correct wheel alignment also optimizes rolling resistance.
- Use the correct oil viscosity for your engine. This optimizes engine efficiency.
- Get the cause of any warning lights, such as "Check Engine", diagnosed and repaired.
- Perform routine maintenance when due (such as replacing worn spark plugs and dirty filters).
- Have your brakes inspected for signs of dragging or binding.
- Accelerate and brake gently. Utilize the ability to coast.
- Do not idle the engine for excessive periods of time.
- Remove unnecessary weight from the vehicle.
- Remove external accessories that may reduce vehicle aerodynamics (rooftop carriers).
- Use cruise control whenever safe or practical.
- Be certain to tighten the fuel cap securely.
- Have us perform a fuel economy inspection if mileage becomes questionable.
